Welcome to Beautiful Park Slope

New York Methodist Hospital is located in the Park Slope Section of Brooklyn, one of the most beautiful Victorian areas in the country and one of the most desirable residential areas in New York. The Slope is notable for its tree-lined streets with rows of brownstone houses.

Residents of Park Slope have a strong sense of community. A network of dynamic neighborhood organizations maintains a busy schedule throughout the year. The entire community is proud of Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, The Brooklyn Museum of Art, and the Brooklyn Public Library, all of which are located in or adjacent to Park Slope. Private, public, and parochial schools in the area are among the finest in the city.

Fifth and Seventh Avenues, Park Slope's main shopping streets, feature specialty food shops, boutiques, antique and craft stores, florists and a rich variety of restaurants. In spite of the cosmopolitan ambiance of the stores, both avenues feel like small town main streets, where neighbors meet and stop to chat, and where customers and storekeepers are on a first-name basis.

Yet, Park Slope is just fifteen minutes away from Manhattan. A short ride on the subway connects Slope residents with the financial district, Greenwich Village, the Empire State Building, Broadway, the United Nations, and hundreds of other exciting attractions.
