We're in Good Company
A voluntary, non-profit hospital, New York Methodist’s mission is to provide excellent health care services in a compassionate and humane manner to the people who live and work in Brooklyn and its surrounding areas.
New York Methodist is proud to be affiliated with the Weill Medical College of Cornell University – and ivy league medical school that is among the nation’s best in patient care, medical education and research. We are also a member of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System which provides us with access to top-ranking physicians and comprehensive resources, including some of the best thought leaders in the medical field.
For the past four years, NYM has received the Consumer's Choice Award for Brooklyn. The award, given by the National Research Corporation, recognizes hospitals with outstanding service and quality in 250 marketing across the U.S. Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected through a survey. The winning hospitals rank highest in their Metropolitan Statistical Areas (in NYM's case, King's County), as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau.

As a major teaching hospital, with 10 graduate medical education programs and four schools which provide training in allied health professions, New York Methodist is equipped with highly advanced medical equipment and technology. Our staff of physicians, nurses, medical technologists, and other dedicated employees stand behind the excellent reputation New York Methodist has earned during the 125 years that it has served the community.
