Understanding One Another

New York Methodist has doctors, nurses, staff members, trained volunteers and agency interpreters who speak over 40 languages. You should have peace-of-mind knowing that you will be heard and understood and that, in return, you will understand what your doctors and nurses are telling you about your illness or injury.

All limited English-speaking patients and family members who request this service will received an interpreter free of charge. The service includes American Sign Language for the deaf patient. 

Interpreter services are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
