Robot-Assisted Surgery
One of the latest treatments offered at New York Methodist to treat urologic disorders and cancers is robot-assisted surgery. The highly advanced level of precision offered through robotic assistance allows for minimally invasive surgery of the bladder, adrenal gland, prostate gland, kidney, and vaginal canal. We also offer robotic gastric bypass surgery to help obese patients achieve weight loss.
Our therapeutic approaches usually have limited side effects and our minimally invasive surgery techniques have the advantages of small incisions, less blood loss, shorter recovery and less pain after the procedure.
Our experienced, well-trained urologists also conduct research studies to develop new therapeutic opportunities, including new treatments for prostate cancer, enlarged prostates, sexual problems, fertility issues and minimally invasive surgery.
