The Institute for Digestive and Liver Disorders

New York Methodist Hospital’s Institute for Digestive and Liver Disorders brings together a unique group of specialists and state-of-the-art medical services to provide a coordinated, comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions.

The Institute's group of physician specialists includes gastroenterologists (doctors who specialize in digestive disorders), hepatologists (doctors who specialize in liver diseases), surgeons, laparoscopic (minimally-invasive) surgeons, gastrointestinal radiologists, medical and radiation oncologists, and pathologists. Nutritionists and psychologists are also valuable members of the team.

Institute doctors are actively involved in various clinical research projects and our group of physicians has published in national journals and presented studies at national conferences. Currently, we are working on a variety of projects that examine ways to improve patient care, prevent disease, and promote health.
