How to Apply to Volunteer
It is the policy of New York Methodist Hospital to offer equal consideration to a volunteer’s application without regard to age, race, creed, color, national origin, gender, disability, marital status, partnership status, sexual orientation, or citizenship status, veteran status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected class.

Complete our online application here. Be sure to answer the "About You" questions. Please note:

The Summer Friends & Family application can be found on the Summer Friends & Family webpage.
- We respond within forty-eight hours to those applicants who we feel we can appropriately match to a program and invite them to make an appointment for an interview.
After the interview, if accepted to a program, you will need to attend all required orientations, workshops, and trainings necessary for your placement of choice and complete our medical clearance process.
It takes 3-5 weeks to be processed and to get started as an NYM volunteer.
