Summer Research Opportunities
Each summer we offer a limited number of research opportunities in a variety of medical specialties. As the opportunities become available, they will be posted here.
- Pediatric Emergency Medicine
The Pediatric Emergency Department is conducting a study to compare different dosing regimens of an oral corticosteroid in the treatment of patients with asthma. Volunteers will be trained to obtain informed consent and to complete the enrollment paperwork for patients who agree to participate in the study. They will also call patients enrolled in the study to obtain follow-up information.
Schedule: June to September; 4-8 hours/week, times are flexible and to be determined by volunteer and physician
Additional Application Step: In addition to completing the Summer Research 2015 application online, each applicant must email a copy of his/her resume to the physician. Please indicate "Pediatric Emergency Medicine Application" in the subject line.
Applicants must complete both steps in order to be considered! If you have already applied to the research position in the Division of Cardiology, please do not reapply. You may only participate in one volunteer/research opportunity at the Hospital this summer.
